About Notabilia
Notabilia is an education centre based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, specializing in online and at-home tutoring. Since its establishment in 1990, our Centre has supported more than 3,000 students in English, French, Mathematics, Sciences, and ESL, from Grade 1 through university — as well as adult learners.
Starting in 2026, we are expanding our focus beyond at-centre tutoring to offer online, at-home, and designated-venue learning. Since 2020, we have developed and refined online teaching methods that are both effective and engaging. Drawing on these experiences, we are confident that our virtual classes deliver the same quality and results as in-person learning. For students who prefer face-to-face lessons, we continue to provide at-home sessions and classes held in rented school classrooms. With our high-quality materials, experienced tutors, and flexible approaches, we remain committed to ensuring the best outcomes for every student.
Our Expertise
We are a results-driven centre dedicated to helping students achieve success in their studies and future careers. Our teaching approaches are carefully designed to meet the unique learning needs and preferences of each student.
All of our proprietary materials are written in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum, covering English, French, Mathematics, Sciences, and ESL from Grades 1–12. Whether online or at-home, all classes are offered one-on-one or in small groups, and each lesson is complemented by independent homework tasks to reinforce learning.
Our Teaching Team
Our tutors are diverse, experienced, and passionate educators who are committed to their students’ growth. The team includes Ontario Certified Teachers (OCTs), OCT candidates, university undergraduates and graduates, and professionals such as engineers and accountants.
Each tutor designs a customized learning program based on their students’ goals and learning style, while following our centre’s proven teaching guidelines. This ensures a learning experience that is both productive and enjoyable.
Communication
We place great importance on communication with parents to ensure they stay informed about their child’s progress and can share feedback or suggestions. Our communication channels connect the administrator, tutor, and parents/students to provide clear updates on class logistics, student performance, and next steps.
