We are always looking for new people to join our talented team of tutors to teach English, French, Mathematics, and Science! Your duties will primarily include: conducting lectures and lessons according to the Ontario curriculum requirements; marking and editing student homework; creating tailored lesson plans for each student; following the teaching approaches established by the Centre.
The position offers a solid preparation platform for candidates intending to apply for teacher training programs.
The teaching will be conducted online or at-home, meaning you may need to travel to the students’ homes. Please indicate which form of tutoring you prefer when you apply. Classes will take place on weeknights and over the weekends. Class size varies from one-on-one to groups of up to three students.
The centre accepts a broad range of applications from professionals, qualified teachers, experienced tutors, graduates, and undergraduates.
Candidates must:
- Have strong academic understanding in their studies
- Be familiar with the Ontario curriculum
- Possess excellent English communication skills
- Possess great interpersonal skills
Training will be provided for suitable candidates who lack previous teaching experience. Work hours are subject to negotiation.
